Our Cooperative School
Beth El Preschool (BEPS) is a parent-run cooperative preschool. Parents play an integral role in our school. Our parents are involved in all aspects of our Program including holding positions on our Parent Board, participating on committees, and working in the classroom. Family participation provides a unique educational opportunity for parents, teachers and children to learn and play together. At BEPS, parents and teachers work together to guide and support children in their learning. We welcome your active participation and look forward to working and growing together!
Our Developmentally Appropriate Program
At Beth El Preschool, each child is encouraged to explore the environment, make discoveries, ask questions and gain competence by engaging in “hands-on” activities. Young children learn best by “doing”. Our school is a special place where children learn through play in an accepting, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Play is a child’s work and is an essential component of our program. Our developmentally appropriate program promotes all aspects of a child’s growth-physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual. Our goal is to help children become independent, self confident, inquisitive learners!
Our Jewish Heritage
Beth El Preschool is proud to be a part of Congregation Beth El, a well-established dynamic, conservative synagogue. Our clergy are actively involved in our preschool, teaching parents, teachers and children about the joys of Judaism. By weaving Jewish traditions, holidays and values into our program, the young child’s budding Jewish identity is fostered. The celebration of Jewish holidays throughout the year and weekly welcoming of Shabbat helps children develop a strong Jewish foundation.
